Content creator
High resolution photos and videos
Are you a creative mind that loves to capture the moment? We’re looking for photographers and videographers that can work independently and create stunning visuals of our lodge, wildlife, activities and rooms. You should have your own equipment and adequate experience to produce high-quality content for our organization.
- Duration: Minimum 3 weeks
- Costs: Small weekly fee

Horse volunteer
For real workhorses
Are you a reliable workhorse who thrives on early mornings, handles a bit of mud, and loves a full day’s hustle? We need a passionate volunteer to dive into daily horse care, training, stable management, and guest safari rides!
Horse Management: Feeding, stable routines, grooming, and health care.
Training & Prep: Groundwork, lunging, and tacking up safari horses.
Reserve Life: Keeping equipment spotless and joining guest rides when available.

Lodge assistant
Help us with our daily operations
Are you a Landrover that can navigate through tough terrains and thick sand (And break down at times)? We always need a helping hand to assist us with various tasks with our daily operations including all aspects of the lodge, workshop and wildlife reserve.

- Costs: Small weekly fee

Volunteers stay in dedicated small, modern units with a private bathroom that are located right in the lodge area. Wifi access is available in the room but hey, Wifi doesn’t always work here, okay?

Terms And Conditions
Important Notice: Your stay at Gabus Lodge And Safaris CC is entirely at your own risk. Our organization does not take any liability for damages, injury, illness, loss of personal property, or death incurred during your time on the property, during transit, or while participating in lodge-related activities.
Personal Responsibility: Volunteers acknowledge that the lodge operates in a safari/nature environment which carries inherent risks. It is the sole responsibility of the volunteer to exercise caution and follow all safety protocols outlined by management.
Insurance: It is a mandatory requirement that all volunteers secure comprehensive travel, medical, and personal liability insurance before arrival.
A form including an indemnity and rules & regulations has to be signed on the day of arrival before any volunteering work commences.
By participating as a visual storyteller or content creator, you grant Gabus Lodge And Safaris CC a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and distribute all high-resolution photos, videos, and digital materials created during your stay for marketing and promotional purposes. Any content produced and delivered to our organization may not be uploaded or used on stock websites and remain at the sole discretion of Gabus Lodge And Safaris CC.
Volunteers are expected to behave professionally, respect local staff, guests, wildlife, and the lodge property.
Gabus Lodge And Safaris CC reserves the right to terminate a volunteer’s placement immediately and without notice if their behavior is deemed inappropriate, disruptive, or illegal. In the event of termination, the volunteer must vacate the premises immediately at their own expense.
